Our ambition is to offer:
- An opportunity to invest in a social enterprise, which develops local renewable energy projects and supports wider efforts to reduce Sheffield’s carbon footprint
- A good home for your long term savings. Leaving you assured that your money is working hard for you in supporting ethical, environmental and social aims
- A modest annual interest rate at or near the rate of inflation, thereby maintaining the value of your investment in real terms
Surplus revenues will also contribute to the ‘Sheffield Renewables Project Fund’, suporting development of new schemes and other local projects. Any group or individual who invests with us automatically becomes one of our members. This means you have a say in what we do and how we do it. Decisions are made on the basis of one member one vote.
We plan to confirm the timeline for our first share offer as soon as possible. The exact details and timing of the offer depend on how our project work progresses over the next couple of months.
In the meantime, it would really help our plans if we can begin to demonstrate a pool of ready and willing investors. You can help us do this my making an investment pledge. This is entirely non-binding, but please do only complete the pledge if you are seriously considering investing with us.
