Regular visitors to the Sheffield Renewables website that haven’t already signed up to receive the newsletter might be wondering about the outcome of the Network and Communications Officer job that we advertised in August. The interview panel said that many high calibre people applied, making the selection process difficult and taking longer than expected. They would like to thank everyone that applied! It was a shame that they could only employ one person. I was lucky enough to get the job and started two weeks ago.

There has been plenty to do from the moment I started. Amongst other things, I will be keeping this blog up to date and work is in progress on articles from some of our volunteers about our most recent workdays. We are also having a bit of an internal review, part of which should lead to some defined volunteer vacancies in the next few months. These should suit those that like to know exactly what they are committing to in advance.

All of this will help Sheffield Renewables prepare for the launch of our first share offer. More information on the share offer will be made available, with investment opportunities, as plans develop. If you want to know more about volunteering, investing or just keep up to date then sign up for our newsletter (if you haven’t already). More detailed, up to date news is available on the website, so explore the various sections to see how things develop.

If you have any ideas, comments or queries please let us know by either posting them as comments to relevant articles on this blog or emailing: info@sheffieldrenewables.org.uk.

Hope you are enjoying your autumn!
