Sheffield Renewables sailed home to victory with their homemade bright orange flag and won the prize of raft and crew covered in the most flour. Crowds lined the banks of the river Don armed with flour bombs and water pistols and did a very good job of covering the rafts in flour. The Sheffield Renewables raft managed to navigate the small weir and river with the crew only falling in to the ice cold water a few time!! The raft race was part of Riverlutions celebrations of Sheffield’s waterways, which are close to our heart here at Sheffield Renewables as we prepare to build our first hydro project on the River Don.
