Investing in Sheffield Renewables
Our projects are funded by raising share capital from people in the community. Our shares are offered as a social investment for public spirited and environmentally aware individuals and organisations. The aim is to provide an attractive ethical investment opportunity.
We do not currently have a share offer live, but an overview of our last share offer appears below. This may change for future offerings.
- Individuals can invest anything from £100 to £20,000
- We aim to pay a modest rate of interest of 3% beginning 3 years after the first project begins operating.
- Beginning in year 3 we aim to pay 1.5% in to a Community Benefit Fund, with members able to dictate how this is spent.
Our last share offer closed early, having raised the required amount within 2 weeks. So, if you are interested in investing in us in future it is worth signing up to our newsletter to get early information on any future opportunities. You can sign up here…
What are the risks?
As with all investments, there is a degree of risk. Interest payments and withdrawals are dependent on scheme performance. All risks will be laid out in the Share Offer document when our next opportunity for investing is released.
“Investing in Sheffield Renewables is about more than financial returns, it is also about putting something back into our city and contributing to a more sustainable future.”
Chris Broome, Sheffield Renewables shareholder.
